Subsistence Americana is an experiment with food and American culture. All the pieces are wearable versions of American classic foods.

These foods have strong links to our memories of growing up. The days of plenty and the days of want, but mostly the excitement of having a something a little special to eat and trade at lunch or to accompany us on hikes, occupy our nerves on dates and sustain our road trips. 

We are two independant artists born in the desert of New Mexico and currently working in the jungles of New York City:

Geoffrey Owen Miller has been in New York for seven years working as a painter and sculptor. Recently he has shown his work in New York, Seoul, and Berlin. You can find him @geoffreyowenmiller on Instagram or at
